Best way to provide a telnet session to a server behind a firewall over HTTP?

I have a machine running behind a firewall and I want to tunnel through the firewall to connect to the telnet port. But I do not want to leave a fingerprint on the firewall for port scanners to see (talk about paranoid)
So I want to make a applet/php/cgi or what-not and bury it where only those who know the URL can get access to it over HTTPS. I already have the HTTPS server running... is there anything I can use?
