best tool for vob to dvd
 

hey there,

i am trying to get a folder of vob files made into an iso to burn to a dvd.
Its a movie i bought that i dont want to loose when the kids will eventually scratch it up beyond playability.

what is the easiest tool for this ? i am not afraid of the command line.

ok, this is cool. i see an option for creating a data dvd, but not a video one, do i just make one the same way by dropping the vob files in there ?

This is in the documentation, but right-click in the button area at the bottom, and select "New Video DVD" from the pop-up list. You can then click on that button. Drag your VOB/IFO files to the VIDEO_TS directory, and then click on burn.

I've been doing this on my Ubuntu 6.06 box but when I do it this way the DVD plays in my DVD player but my Linux computer will not read the filesystem on the DVD nor can my OSX86 computer read it.

If I just create a data DVD and drag and drop the video_ts folder to it and burn, my Linux box can read it and it can *sometimes* play on my DVD player (though sometimes it's choppy), but it won't play on my OSX86 machine.

To add to the fun, if I burn anything with Toast on OSX86 it plays on the OSX86 box and on the DVD player, but not on my Linux machine.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
