Best replacement for FrontRow streaming from server?
Currently I have a self-built computer in my bedroom hooked up to my tv that is used for two things:

1. DVD player for bedroom

2. File Server/Storage for Photos, Videos, Music.

I have over 500GB of movies and over 90GB of music that I currently stream to my living room's Mac Mini, which is running OS X 10.5 Leopard, and I just have my iTunes Music folder point to the server, and the computer is simply used as a hub to stream music and movies to the living room. The server is hardwired into my wifi router, which is a Dynex 108MB/s 802.11g+ router.

I am trying to alleviate Leopard, replacing it with some type of linux or BSD. Hopefully someone can suggest something that we can use that would eliminate any use of keyboard or mouse after configuration. I would like to use my Logitech Harmony 659 remote with it as well.

I have searched for many of these topics and have tried many options, but keep running into roadblocks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, but I use Dish Network for satellite in my house, which is not compatible with the DVR features of MythTV (as far as I've read). Is there any way to remove the DVR/PVR features of a MythTV release?
Also, can MythTV stream files from a server, as well as automatically update? If so, that would be my choice.

Another thing is that Front Row has the little preview of the Movie Poster. I don't know if MythTV can do that either. I have two young boys that can figure out up/down/select on a remote, but are still young enough where reading is a hindrance.
