Best Multithreaded Download Manager for Linux

Well i have been using FlashGet on windows and it worked quite well. Its multi-threaded and supports a maximum of 10 threads. It also has many other features. I want an equivalent or better download manager for Linux. No i dont want to use wine and try running FlashGet because you just can't be sure about things, it may crash anytime. Moreover i really want a good download manager for Linux. wget and kget are not good beause there is no multithreading. KGet stalls too much and its not the problem with my connection because things work fine on windows. The point is that i want to convert to Linux and getting a good download manager would speed up this process as i already have found a good media player which is mplayer. Is there any other good media player in Linux which is better than mplayer?
