Best Media Player??

What is the best "FREE" Linux Media Player ? I would like something that is comparible to Winamp 5.0, maybe Winamp has a Linux version, I'm not sure.

Oh and by the way I am using Red Hat 9.0.

"xmms" for playing audio, looks like winamp 2.x
for videos "mplayer "

VLC (videolan)
for video, supports all video files, and i mean ALL
(windows and linux(all types like SUSE, Mandrake and so on))

i need some player or plugin to play music files called:
*.minipsf
i found one for winamp but winamp does not supports linux
