I plan to run a cluster at home (~4/5 computers), and i want to know which applications rocks. Any suggestion are welcome. (Dvd ripping, video editing, compilers etc...)

I've had good luck with distcc (distributed gcc compiler). I haven't attempted to cluster anything else as of yet... One warning on distcc, it will most definitly cause a lot of lan traffic.
