Batch changing colors in png images?
Hi all, and a Happy New Year!
I hope this will be a simple problem for you. I've been doing some DVD authoring stuff, and I've got a large string of 3 and 4-color .png images (subtitles) whose colors are not what I want them to be. I need to find a quick way to switch the colors throughout the batch to different ones, without affecting the overall structure of the image (especially the 4 color limit and alpha transparency), and without having to open them all up individually. In other words, if the images have color 'A' in them, I want a simple and safe way to change it to color 'B' throughout the whole batch. Is there some way to use GIMP or ImageMagick batch processing or something to do this? |
Bump.
I finally discovered how to get the original palette when ripping the subtitles in the first place, but I'd still like to know how to do this so that I can change the colors to better looking ones when I want. Any info? Even just a suggestion as to the best place to look would be appreciated. |
You should be able to do it with GIMP. I would try swinging by the GIMP website for help. I don't really know any particulars on how it would work.. sorry.
