Hello.

I volunteered to configure our Linux server for my final project before graduation. On the Linux server we have to configure DHCP and Apache. I got DHCP working perfectly and have now turned my attention to Apache.

I've searched the internet but haven't found a good, very simple and basic, guide to configuring Apache. All I need is for the intranet PC's to view the webpage, nothing spectacular, just a plain old page.

Is there a website around that has very basic Apache configuation help or can any of you just give me the simplest way to make my webpage viewable to the intranet? If you can, assume that the HTTPD package is already installed, and I am using Red Hat.

otherwise, if your httpd is running, then there must be a start(test)-page when you connect to your server.
from client via http://hostname or http://ipaddress
or on server via http://localhost

on current releases the default webdir is under /var/www/html..
think on old redhat/apache releases it´s under /usr/share/local/http...
