balsa uninstall slackware 9

last night i installed the latest version of the balsa mail client...today i decided that it has a bit too much for my 400 mhz box. i want something simpler....so i decided to uninstall. got the source again because i deleted it last night. did a ./configure. went fine. make uninstall is strange. its spending sooo much time on some /usr/share/omf files which are some scrollkeeper thing i dont really know about. it says "Registering ..." why doesnt it just uninstall?
