Bagpipe Player through Wine--midi won't play

I downloaded WINE and had no problems with the installation. I downloaded Bagpipe Player (a free version of Bagpipe Music Writer) and installed it using WINE--no problem. It works fine under WINE--except for the MIDI output. It's only got 2 choices for the MIDI device:

PC Speaker

Now, everything works fine with my sound card and I have no problems playing .mid files in FireFox with Plugger and TiMidity 2.13.0. I can also easily play a .mid file in a terminal window using timidity with no problem. Everything is working as it should...except for the playback of tunes in Bagpipe Player.

If I choose ES1371 nothing comes out of the speakers. If I choose PC Speaker, it doesn't play anything but beeps (like the system beeps during a POST test) instead of actual musical notes.

Additionally, I've checked all my permissions for /dev/mixer, /dev/sequencer, /dev/dsp/, et cetera. All are fine. My sound modules are set up fine and work on everything but that one program. Also, my modules.conf is set to snd-ens1371 rather than es1371. It's all I can think of that's causing the problem.

Oh...I'm on Slackware 10.

Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks in advance, and sorry it's so long winded.

I wish. I had the same problem with Noteworthy. It seemed to work fine otherwise.
