Bad video quality recording dvb with kaffeine
I got finally my dvb-c work under linux but only software which plays/records it (I managed to get work) is kaffeine. It has only one problem, recording quality. Now, I know that this is something that has something to do with anamorphic or something like that but I don't know how to configure it. So, here's a screenshot: http://img265.imageshack.us/img265/2844/problemnt9.jpg
Why does it make those lines for my recordings? Is there a guide or something how to configure kaffeine correctly for recording? |
As far as I know, kaffeine does not change the quality of a recording, it more like streaming the dvb-signal to your hard-disk, the data is ordered due to the ts or mpg format.
The lines shown in your picture seem to me a problem of deinterlacing, so maybe it is all about playback? I would try to play around with the deinterlacing settings of xine, xine-lib and kaffeine or check your video driver in X11. |
Those lines don't show up when watching tv, only the recorded file shows them. Though I don't know why this is, and don't know anything to fix this. I don't need to watch tv, only record it so this sucks...
