bad font display in man pages (rh8.0)
Since I installed rh8 on my athlon 2600 ASUS A7N8X system, I have had little squares replacing the positions that should be occupied by dashes in my man pages. Does anyone know why this is so or what the solution is. Another symptom is that my background in my terminal sessions in X gradually accumulate specks of unrefreshed background color. I doubt these two symptoms are related, but I really don't have a clue.

Can anyone help with this.

export LANG=C

will do the trick for the man pages. To permantly set $LANG to C you must edit your /etc/bashrc file.
