Backup Emails in Thunderbird

Hi,
I need to do a backup of all the emails that are stored in Mozilla Thunderbird. Which files in .thunderbird do I need to backup in order to save all my emails, folders, etc

Thanks
from Ian

The mail is in ~/.thunderbird/default/random-number.slt/Mail/server-name . Save them somewhere safe. The problem is trying to re-integrate them with another Thunderbird profile. You have to rename them as you can't have two files called Inbox or whatever. Then when you open thunderbird you'll find that it still sees the renamed files by their original names so you will have two folders called Inbox. Drag and drop the mail from the backed up folders into the new ones then close Thunderbird, go back into your profile and delete the folders you introduced. Hopefully it won't cause you any problems. If you make a backup copy of the whole ~/.thunderbird folder before you start fiddling you should be safe.
