Backtrack 5 R3 error message "kernel panic not syncing- attempted to kill init"?

I have been trying to load backtrack 5 R3 on my Lenovo ideapad Z510. I downloaded the latest software from backtrack and I am trying to run it as either a live CD or USB. I can get it to operate in a virtual machine so that's how I know it works. Also, but no matter if I try to boot it from either the CD or USB on my laptop it halts booting and the last line in the load up screen is the phrase kernel panic. My laptop is 64 bit and that's what I downloaded.
i don't want kali please don't say kali

look this ! Error Screen :

`BackTrack 5 R3' is an old OS. Not supposed to work with a new computer.

`BackTrack 5 R3' was followed by 'Kali Linux 1.0' :
""This is a major new update of the project's flagship distribution
formerly known as BackTrack"".

The latest version is "Kali Linux 1.0.6"

before you even TRY to install or use "Kali" you might want to READ and then REREAD the disclaimer !!!

from
http://docs.kali.org/introduction/sh...use-kali-linux
Quote:
As the distribution developers, one would likely expect us to recommend that everyone use Kali Linux. The fact of the matter is however, that Kali is a Linux distribution specifically geared towards professional penetration testing and security auditing and as such, it is NOT a recommended distribution for those unfamiliar with Linux.

In addition, misuse of security tools within your network, particularly without permission, may cause irreparable damage and result in significant consequences.
If you are looking for a Linux distribution to learn the basics of Linux and need a good starting point, Kali Linux is not the ideal distribution for you. You may want to begin with Ubuntu or Debian instead.
and this
"result in significant consequences" often means standing in front of a Judge in court

having a 4year degree in CS with a minor in Network SECURITY is almost needed as a MINIMUM to use Kali
working on a Masters in Network SECURITY would be a GOOD start .

if you on your own can not find the ISO and install it , or use "dd" to put it on an ENCRYPTED usb drive or partition

then you likely should not be trying to use it

install "Ubuntu" or "Linux Mint "

BT5 was and Kali is for VERY specific work

network penetration testing
and without a work related contract ( or like), most of that IS ILLEGAL in almost every country around the world .
