Background Unable to show with Fluxbox 0.1.14 Slackware 10
:Pengy:
Thanks in Advance for reading my problem Some specs first Using Slackware 10 Fluxbox 0.1.14 Logon as ROOT I installed Slackware 10 and decided to try out fluxbox. menu editing seemed easy and got everything up. But when tried to add a simple wallpaper to the background it was difficult, but i hope with everyone's help i should be able to do it. I did alot of googling and all pointed the doc file on flux's site :study: I went on to read about the documentation on how to add background pictures fluxbox.sourceforge.net/docbook/en/html/chap-bg.html however i did the exact same thing in the .flux/init file using a txt editor and after i click on fluxbox-menu > reload config and even restarted x i no wallpaper here is a direct quote from my .fluxbox/init session.screen0.rootCommand: fbsetbg -f /root/bg/mgs2.jpg Next i did a find / -name 'fbsetbg*' And no success. I am wondering if i should get cvs version of fbsetbg recommended from http://www.xs4all.nl/~hanb/software/...x/fbsetbg.html Lastly if that is the solution can some one please show me the command using CVS to download the file from the cvs server? Thank you in advance Please Help this :newbie: |
That's one solution. Another solution is to change the root command to a program you may already have installed, for example: Esetroot or xv
