Avidemux2 acting strange

I just installed avidemux2 ( to convert AVI to SVCDs and stuff like that)

But after starting it really acts strange, can somebody help me?
Check the image here below so you understand what I mean with acts strangs

(It looks like it's using a font that I don't have?!!)
