Avi to DVD Using Avidemux2

Hello everybody..

I'm trying to convert an avi (divx/xvid) file to mpeg-2 so i can make a DVD out of it..
The problem is that the movie gets jerky.. when I do a VCD (Mpeg-1 streem) it turns realy good.. anybody got the same problem and know what to do? This is one of the problems that make me hang on to M$ Windows..

I don't know Bud,
It worked good for me. I saved as an "m2v".
I believe we're using the same encoder as I think Avidemux uses a
bundled "mpeg2enc" for DVD and VCD.
I have a 1.6 gig Athalon XP and am using the brand new Avidemux2.
I don't know if that would make a difference, but it certainly encodes
faster.

I'm using avidemux2 to.
But I think it's pretty strange that it works when I do a VCD, but not a DVD!
maybe I should look if ther's a newer version out?

Yes a new version came out last week.
I never encoded a DVD stream on the old version so I
don't know if there is any difference.
The new one does encode faster so something was changed.
Don't worry about your configuration of the DVD codec as It
was right on.
