avi support in kaffeign using xine

I was wondering is it possable to have kaffeign play avi files using the xine engine. I do have the win32 codecs installed but avi files wont play. All other files play fine wma wmv mpeg etc.

I have installed mplayer and that plays tyhem fine along with mov files. Is it possable to have kaffeign/xine play avi files?

I know mplayer does the job but I would prefer something were I could do it through a kde application like kaffeign.

Search google for apt-get install codecs and you'll probably find a site which shows you which codecs to install.

i have already installed the w32 codecs, i was wondering if its possable to play avi and .mov filesnthrough kaffeign using the xine engine. Because evn with the codecs those two formats do not want to play.

I can however play them in mplayer. Is there a way to get kaffeign/xine play these formats or will i be resigned to using maplayer or vlc for such formats.
