Automount CD / DVD/ USB Mass Storage
Hi,
I use both linux (slack + dropline) and mac osx. With my mac machine I can just insert a cd, dvd, usb pendrive or other usb mass storage and the disk will automount and an icon will appear on the desktop. Currently when using a cd / dvd I can click the link in my computer and it will load an icon on the desktop (Dropline Gnome). I would like to have the same behaviour as on my mac - ie no user interaction. I used redhat / fedora a while ago and believe it automounted cds (it was a few years). Does anyone know if it's possible to do this in linux? If so where would I start? Thanks, Gir. |
Suse is using submount vs. supermount used by Mandrake and some other distros. I've tried them both and while I have only used submount a short while my initial impression is that it is WAY better than supermount.
