Question automatic logwatch

hello to everyone,

I have a problem that I don't resolve :
Before reinstall my sendmail on RH9 evreyday I receive to
my personal account name.surname@companyname.com the logwatch
of the my server, because :

1) in //etc/log.d/conf/logwatch.cong there is an antry with :
MailTo = root

2) in /etc/aliases there is an antry with :
root: name.surname@companyname.com

and I run newaliases for update the aliases.db

but, now I DON'T RECEIVE NOTHING !!! and I don't understand why !!!

If I try to do from my server :
/usr/sbin/logwatch
I receive immediatley the logwatch to my personal account !

Any suggestions ?

thanks in advance

Marco

I quite don't understand the problem. You are running logwatch from cron right? If you don't invoke logwatch from cron then logwatch is not going to run - that is why you don't receive e-mails.

or in other files, because I remake the installation
and after all wored fine ..

thank however for your reply and your help !
