baikonur: After I restart the backup server, and I try add again...its ok :S...weird...

I've set it in crontab -e..

But I dont see any activity after the scheduled time passed...any clue :S?

ok...I found out what caused it to create that error, its my mistake :P

Anyway...I still confused how to set it up so it won't ask for password :S....if I just type

Code:

00 10 * * * rsync -av 192.168.0.10:/home /backup

I noticed nothing happened after the time passed the scheduled time :S...I event restart the crond service...any helps? Thanks

well, i suggested 2 possible ways around that. have you tried them both?

Have you checked root's email?
cron usually sends a msg if it had a problem.
Also, by default, a minimal (or no) $PATH is set in cron tab environment, so the usual rule is to specify the full path for any binary eg /usr/bin/rsync ...
