Hi. I have just joined LinuxQuestions as I am looking for an autoclicker that will work on a remote desktop with CentOS (which I thinking about acquiring). I found your thread, which I appreciate is over 4 years old. I would appfreciate greatly you help me on a few issues:
1. I am looking for an autoclicker that will click many times per second - say, 30 to 50 times per second. Will xAutoClick do this?
2. If not, can you recommend another autoclicker?
I am looking for an autoclicker that will click many times per second - say, 30 to 50 times per second. Will xAutoClick do this?
might i ask why?
the last time i needed to click something that many times it was the early 2000's on IE4 and 5 using XP
when the auto spawning "pop-up's" were VERY popular ( before they figured out how to use ActiveX to remove the "x" close button)
and WHY on a remote machine ?
( the only reason i can think of right now is a bit illegal in doing a ddos )
Yeah, seriously. What are you going to do with this program? I can imagine some possibilities, and none of them are things that I'd like to see people helped with.
Thanks for your replies. I finance invoices (receivable balances) of small and medium sized companies via a web-based auction platform (similar to invoice factoring). If I wish to bid successfully in an auction, it is critical that my bid is submitted/received within about a hundred milliseconds of the auction going live (all investors bid at the floor price, so the winners are those who make the fastest bids). I have found that the website is hosted by a web hoster in the US (I'm in the UK). I was hoping they would provide a virtual/hosted desktop solution, so I could bid from their servers and therefore the route to the auction website would be very short and I would avoid slow network connections. Of course, I would need to have an autoclicker on the hosted desktop (bidders need to click a button in the web page to submit their bids). Unfortunately, they don't host desktops, but they suggested a Cloud VPS with CentOS 6.5. So that's why I am looking for an autoclicker.
FYI, I have loaded CentOS 6.5 onto a laptop as I want to see how it functions. So far, I have not been able to install an autoclicker successfully. I have tried xautoclick-0.31 and have got all the way through the installation (i.e. completed "install make" command) but I do not see it listed in my Applications or on the Desktop. Also, I have loaded Wine and some Windows based autoclickers (Aarons Advanced Cliker, Easy Auto Clicker, Super Mouse Auto Clicker, Auto Clicker Asoftech). These open but the clicker does not seem to work in the Firefox web browser.
Are you able to advise me on how I can install an autoclicker on CentOS 6.5?
