auto load at startup

i am running knoppix distro installed to my hard disk. ok so here's my question how do make a windows app load at start up with wine? and is it possable to make it so you don't see any of the desktop, so it just loads straight into the app after boot up. thanks

Hi,

Just put a "&" simple after your command to run it in background ...
and for loading I am not sure as I never use wine :(

Can you tell me about its Performance and other issue..
Thanks

What is the app?

If you are using KDE then you can put a script/symlink in the ~/.kde/Autostart and that will be executed when the user logs into KDE (remember to chmod it).

I guess you could use a very minimal WM and have it start twm or something and then the wine app from .xinitrc. Take a look if you have one, it usually contains some simple comments to guide you.
