Authoring multiple mpg files!

Hi

I have a little problem, because I need to make alot of mpg files DVD-compatible, and I can't figure out how it can be done the easiest way!

I want to make a DVD with alot of music videos (for my car). I want it to be able to add the files to a DVD in a such way I can use the "next track" button on my dvdplayer to skip to the next video.
I have tried dvdauthor, but I recieve this error; "WARN: Skipping sector, waiting for first VOBU...", and since I couldn't solve the problem I went on looking for another prog.

Else I have tried to use vcdimager, which does what I want it to do, but can't it make an image bigger than a 80min CD? When I try to add all the files, I get an "Image too large" error. That annoys me, since it could have worked, if only it supported DVD's.

Also, I have tried to reencode the mpg files using ffmpeg. But that is a very timeconsuming procces, since I need to start the reencoding for every single mpg by hand.

Does anyone know a program (or something) that kan do the trick?

Help appreciated

Well i had some similar problems with your error making the dvd. which ever program you are using isn't putting it in exactly the right format. However i found this guide that was very helpful in making a dvd also if you wanted to you could easily make its a script. Here is the link. also you should know when your dealing with larger files and you don't want split output when you do the mplex step add -m 0. i was using kavi2svcd and a few other of them programs for some reason they didnt get the right format for dvd author. also i had a few problems recombining the files for the dvd if i didn't get the --export_asr 3 right also there is another guide here on linux questions
