Question AuthOptions requires SASL support


Hi all
i've a running sendmail server i've install clamav-milter and clamav antivirus after that restarting sendmail gives me error

root]# service sendmail restart
Shutting down sendmail: [ OK ]
Shutting down sm-client: [FAILED]
Starting sendmail: [ OK ]
Starting sm-client: [ OK ]
i checked /var/log/messages
and found ....
Warning: Option: AuthOptions requires SASL support (-DSASL)
can any body help me to get rid of that problem. I m not new to Linux but that thing i cannot sort out.
