Anyone have success with audio in Skype on Debian lenny with oss? I've checked multiple solutions in Google, but still no joy.
I'm running OSS and all mixer settings are correct. For example, playback works in xmms, and mic-record works in audacity. However, I can't get playback or record in Skype. The attempt to place a test call to echo123 in Skype fails with error "call failed. problem with audio playback".
Skype sound devices dialogue, the "sound in", "sound out", and "ringing" drop-down lists offer choice between "default" and the microphone in my USB webcam. However, /dev/dsp does not appear as an option in any of the drop-down lists.
I believe this version of skype supports oss. Perhaps I need to find a way to get "/dev/dsp" to show up as a device in the Skype sound-devices drop-down lists?
