audio+video in Debian
I plan on installing onto my Debian machine Songbird for music and VLC for movies. Do they come built-in with all the necessary codecs (for MP3/wma/mp4/etc in songbird, the every movie codec on the planet thing that VLC pulls off in Win)? Or do I have to install codecs separately somewhere?

You must install these codecs libxine1, w32codec-all, libdvdcss,libvdpau1, k3b-codecs
