Audio streams? NPR? Helix? MPlayer? RealPlayer?

All I wanna do is listen to talk radio. Is that so much to ask?
Click on RealPlayer stream and a dialog box asks if I wanna open it with Kaffeine.
I find out I don't have RealPlayer and I installed RealPlayer. Doesn't play .smil.
Tried changing file associations but I still get the Kaffeine option.
I installed HelixPlayer. Tried changing file associations again. Still get the Kaffeine option.
Found a website about MPlayer. But then I'll need a plug-in.
ENOUGH!!!!
Can someone tell me what program I need to listem to live radio audio streams? A program that actually works? A program that opens automatically when I click on an audio stream?

The website that I found shows that the plug-in is for the mozilla browser. I currently use konqueror. Or is there a special plug-in for me?

I got .smil stream working. I installed MPlayer then I installed the MPlayer
plug-in. You must use Mozilla with MPlayer. Installed 'em, went to NPR,
clicked real audio stream and it worked. I did have to open my mixer tho and
crack the volume up.
Thanks acid_kewpie
