Audio skipping on streaming sites

I've looked around here a bit and can't seem to find a solution to my problem. I have noticed that Shockwave (.swf) files and other audio that streams on the internet is skipping. I can't find a setting anywhere on the PC to fix this. Does anyone have any suggestions? Is it possible my Vonage router causes this? I seem to have plenty of bandwidth, but for some reason it's very choppy.

I think I figured it out. I have had any sites with Flash crash on me the past couple of days. I renamed my .mozilla folder and started over and reinstalled Flash via YaST and it started to work again. I went to a site that had a Flash animation on it and the audio started skipping. I then went to another site with Flash and my browser crashed again. I reinstalled Flash from source this time and removed the write permissions from everyone and now Flash is working again. I don't know what is causing the crash/corruption of the Flash plugin, but I'm betting that now that noone can write to it I won't have the problem again.
