Audio recorder gone after Openshot with Mint's"Lisa" Distribution.

I find the Audio Record app is disconnected after installing OpenShot on my Linux Mint 12 system. The first time with icons still in the menu, I had the error of missing gstream-plugins-good missing. I tried reinstalling this, but no change. The volume control still reads the mic, and is adjustable, I just have no recorder. With reinstall and updates "Lisa", the recorders (2ea) are back and working. Another install of OpenShot 1.4.0.1 yields the same results. As a newbie, I am lost as to where my audio recorder went. An Ardour install doesn't bring it back either, and no mic recording available there, or with Openshot!

I have found that with the Linux Mint 12 "Lisa" isn't the distro for my purposes. To have a simple media editing and creation workstation. I installed Ubuntu 10.4 LTS and found the install of programs less problematic and better able to survive my learning curve. The multiple display setup is more adaptive as well. I guess the point of this thread is that new releases are too "buggy" for a newbie project of this kind.

This is solved for me! I can move on.
