Audio player, again
hi
I know this subject was discussed 1000 times, but I realy cannot find an audio player for Linux which will satisfy my simplest needs. After searching the web and test a lot of players (Mesk, Exaile, Quod Libet, Sonata, Gimmix...) I can tell now: There isn't a good audio player for Linux at all. Installing 101 python modules, running 101 daemons (the hell knows what for) and even not being able to do the simplest thinkgs, isn't what I dream of. This is weird for me becouse my demands are so bacis that it is a shame to speak about:
1. written in C/C++
2. gtk based (no GNOME or KDE dependencies!!!)
3. simple playlist managment
4. tag view
5. using Alsa as output
I'm not hiding that I was using Foobar2000 under Windows, but I don't expect a player which will cover all of F2k functions and advantages (I gues this is impossible) so maybe there is one which will at least "try" to be handful and simple?
