audacity, batch conversion

I was wondering if there is an easy way (ie. scripting) to use audacity to remove the background noise from wave files. the background noise is basically the same on all the files, so I'd like to just use one sample of the background noise to cancel the noise on some 3-5 hundred wave files. is there an easy way to do this?

i'd assume that sox would be a much better candidate for what you want to do.
