I'm currently using audacuty 1.1.2-3.1 to multitrack, and when i try to record anything after the first track it gets strangely distorted and changes pitch approx -1.5 octaves or so... it sounds like my amp was possessed when i recorded it. stange growling sound, hard to hear dynamics and pitch differences. Im recording to my sony vaio pcg-tr3a notebook running suse 9.2; it did the same thing on my desktop about a year ago with suse 9.1 thru a Creative Labs SBLive Platinum, dont think its the soundcard. Has anyone else experienced this? I think once it didnt do it, and all my settings were the same. Any info would be helpful, as well as any other pro multi-track recording/editing programs you know of, I really dont want to have to set up windows for recording purposes; thats a large part of what i use my computer for and i hear that there are other pro audio programs for *nix out there.
