Audacious 2.4.3 Skin issues! Problem and solution
A virgin install of Audacious 2.4.3 leaves me with a problem when I try to switch to the Winamp mode. The menu skin and its text is so dark that nothing is readable!
To fix this I had to shut down Audacious, then go to ~/.config/audacious/config and go to [skins] and replace the "skin=/usr/share/audacious/Skins/Default" line with "skin=/usr/share/audacious/Skins/Refugee". Restart Audacious. This switches in a readable skin.
And since I have not seen anywhere how to change skins in Audacious 2, here's how you do that, too. Once you switched to Winamp mode this is when the "skinned interface" option will appear at the bottom in the Preferences window. You can change skins there.
