I am having a problem with the xwindows. I am installing mandrake linux and I am trying to get the display set to the right properties. I can't get it to go to 1024x700 something. I can hardley get to the buttons on the bottom let alone read them while I am in the configuration screen.
Any help would be great...

Make sure ure card is supported, and use Xconfigurator or XF86config to set screen, card, resolution, sync etc. *btw its better to start at a conservative setting like 640x480 or 800x600 to start setting things right, u can always switch to a higher rez if ure sure its all working...

I kept making a simple mistake. I changed the resolution along with the screen settings...
What I wanted and what it would do were 2 diff things
