I have a strange problem. I have Redhat 9 and ATI FireGL 4 graphics card. The driver The ATI website says that the driver is available only for XFree86 4.2.0 and libc 6.2. But in redhat 9 it is XFree86 4.3.0 and libc 6.3. The performance of my application in Redhat 9 is very slow. I also tried installing 3.2.8 fglrx driver (fglrx-glc22-4.3.0-3.2.8.i586.rpm) as suggested by a user in XFree86 mailing list (
http://www.mail-archive.com/xfree86@.../msg11140.html) but I am unable to do so because it has conflicts with file libGL.so.1.2 from package XFree86-Mesa-libGL-4.3.0-2. Has anyone come across such problems?
There is a mouse drag in the screen (say while dragging the terminal or browsing the menus etc) in graphical mode (KDE or gnome). So, i just changed the option called "no_accel = no" to yes and that problem is solved. But however it is very slow. Following is the error occured in the XFreeConfig.
