Right now im on an HP zv6000 with an AMD 64 so i have 64 fedora core 5 and i cant figure out how to install the latest ATI drivers to get 1280x800 resolution. when i try and install the latest driver i get error messagess including character errors and installation errors. if anyone can help that would be great because i want to use linux but i have no idea how to use it. anyway thats for anyone who posts to this it is very much appreciated.
This is someones website off this forum so please give them credit for it!! I'll see if I can find out who it is.
Not to demean your post, but like acid_kewpie said above, there are easy ways to install ATI graphics drivers specific to Fedora Core. The third-party repository called livna prepares prebuild RPMs. All one has to do is install them using "yum."
