AT command help!!!

hello i have been trying to use the At commands to schedule some programs to run. I have this program i need to run at 12 at midnight but i cant seem to get it working..

i write
Code:
at 12:00am
warning: commands will be executed using /bin/sh
at> /usr/bin/program
at> <EOT>
job 17 at Fri Aug 3 00:00:00 2007
that didnt work so then i tried

Code:
at -f /usr/bin/program 12:00am
warning: commands will be executed using /bin/sh
job 18 at Fri Aug 3 00:00:00 2007
that didnt work either..
Am i doing something wrong?? or can someone try to tell me how to write it the right way so my program will execute at 12:00 midnight.
Thanks

have you tried looking at the at queue?
atq

try this:

Code:
dysp0024$ echo hello there | at now
commands will be executed using /bin/ksh
job 1186056339.a at Thu Aug 2 13:05:39 2007
you should get a mail soon after.

Depends on what you set it up to go to? What distro are you using, what happens
if you type 'mail' on a command-line? And is /usr/bin/program an actually executable
file in the first place? What does
ls -l /usr/bin/program
and
file /usr/bin/program
say about it?

Cheers,
Tink

the mail will be in your mail box.
type mail or mailx or pine or mutt
see if you have a file called mbox in $HOME.

if it's in atq then it's working.

do
echo date \> log | at now
if you get a log file it's working.

phew!
