Hello,

I'm running a Shoutcast streaming server on a Slackware 8 box. I created an .asx file which automatically calls up Windows Media Player to play my Internet music stream, but it refuses to work from my Linux server. Here's the link:

The .asx file works perfectly fine from all other web servers I've tried uploading it to, but when it's stored on my Linux server and I click the link, all I get is a blank page. Does everyone else get the same result when they click the link? Is it an Apache problem?

Try adding the following to your /etc/apache/mime.types file (may also be in /usr/local/apache/conf - use 'slocate mime.types' to see where else it may be) and then restart your Apache server.
