I installed asterisk in my server and installed
asterisk-addons-1.4.5 from tar. But the calls are not recording,
error showing that cdr_addon_mysql.so is not found / not registered
like that. Whats the reason for that?
I installed mysql-server, mysql-devel, mysql-5.0.45-7.el5.

Did you configure it properly? Did you try the installation guide, or look on Google?? This
Thank you dear...
I followed the same link for installation.
But no hope...
Anyone can help me......
We might be able to help you, if you actually gave us some useful information. You say it's not found, but the installation guide I gave you, specifically addresses that. I asked if you had followed the installation guide, and you didn't answer.
You have to create the database first, load the module, then restart everything. Re-read the installation guide, follow ALL the steps, and post exact error(s).
I think, this is the problem with the versions of asterisk and asterisk addons
asterisk is 1.2.30 and asterisk addons-1.4.5.
Now my doubt is, if I upgrade the asterisk to any higher version, then is there any chances for losing my configuration files? How can I upgrade the asterisk, with out any lose or change of configuration files?

Waiting an early reply.........
Yeah, it would help if the add ons were for the same version...didn't think to ask that, since that's a common-sense thing.
If you want to make sure your configuration files are still valid/unchanged after upgrading...MAKE BACKUPS. Either copy them to a different location, different machine, something......
