arp-scan confusion

I want to know connected device on my network just using my terminal. So I ended up using arp-scan, but the output is not consistent for example when I hit 2 times of that command sometimes it outputs 3 sometimes lower than or greater than. Please refer to this example:

sudo arp-scan --interface=enp2s0 --localnet

Interface: enp2s0, datalink type: EN10MB (Ethernet)
Starting arp-scan 1.9.2 with 256 hosts (http://www.nta-monitor.com/tools-res...ools/arp-scan/)
192.168.1.1 90:61:0c:37:74:87 Fida International (S) Pte Ltd
192.168.1.9 60:67:20:8f:28:d8 Intel Corporate
192.168.1.16 08:3d:88:72:eb:a5 Samsung Electronics Co.,Ltd

3 packets received by filter, 0 packets dropped by kernel
Ending arp-scan 1.9.2: 256 hosts scanned in 2.083 seconds (122.90 hosts/sec). 3 responded

Well when I checked the routers gui it has 6 connected devices. So in short arp-scan is not reliable? Or did I miss something in my command? Please help. Thanks!

Perhaps try 'nmap -sn 192.168.1.0/24' or 'nmap -PR 192.168.1.0/24' (as root) instead.
