Are there any Frontpage like Linux programs?
I need something for building webpages but can't really find something for building sites and editing HTML. Can anybody advise me on a program that may work well with Ubuntu? If it's not in apt-get I have no idea how to install it
Thanks a lot,
Adam

Nvu is a good editor. According to the Ubuntu site, it's not available as package, but there are clear instructions here

Holly krap Pecunia I think that's in over my head! First I have no clue how to find a directory from the terminal nor do I know how to extract it if I could find it.
On top of that: " need to enable universe in Synaptic, do a reload and the search for the following package: libstdc++2.10-glibc2.2"
Yeah, um again no idea how to do that. That's why I was really trying to find something in apt-get, I'm a new user and while I'll learn this stuff in the next month or two I need some basic programs now as I have to keep my business going but have vowed not to use the other OS ever again.

Okay, one step back then: Mozilla Composer, it's part of the Mozilla Suite and Nvu is a spin-off of Mozilla Composer. I'm sure you can find the Mozilla Suite using apt-get

Thanks a lot all I got the Mozilla suite and it's all I'm going to need! Now any advice on something for zipping files? I was using CamUnzip or whater just fine but have no clue how to do it with Ubuntu. After that I'm fine for awhile.

how abuot "unzip" to unzip files... always a good place to start.
i always shudder when people ask for a FP clone... There are so many things about M$ software that end up sounding like cliches, this is crap, that's bloatware... but FrontPage?? now that's one thing i *KNOW* is a nasty sack of crap... the mess it's made of my code in the past.... html is easy. do it properly! if i'm feeling lazy i'll use bluefish, but just a plain text editor is good for me.
