Are AbiWord and Gnumeric file filters good?
I am maybe switching to AbiWord and Gnumeric as my primary WP and spreadsheet programs. As I do not have access to Windows machines, I am wondering how well the filters work. Usually I convert my files to either PDF, MS Excel files, or MS Word Documents for use on other machines. I have used OOo for many years, and have had few problems when giving professors disks with files that I had converted to MS formats.
