hi guys. i was wondering if anybody knows how to fix this problem, its probably basic.. but im still stuck on it
I record alot of music at home, i've always used fruity loops for beats and Cakewalk studio for vocals. After switching to linux i have been using Lmms for beats and Ardour for vocal recording. Everything works great, except when i record using ardour and play it back.... it distorts really bad...i know it has something to do with Jack running, because when i even play mp3's while jack is running, it distorts also. Then when i disconnect jack, it plays fine. There must be some sort of conflict between jack and alsa i think :s. Even though sound plays back distorted, when i export my finished work in Ardour into a .wav file, d/c jack and play it... it sounds fine. Its just annoying having to listen to the distortion while playing tracks/recording. Anybody know how to setup jack so that it doesn't cause distortion during playback?
