Question Apt-get sourcelists

Hi

I installed apt-get and I was wondering if there is a place where I can find more sources to add in the sources.list.
When I try some packages like nessus there are no packages available.

I`m running FC2.

thnx.

i dont think that its possible to do that... but if you want to install a utility thats not in apt-get maybe try for the rpm. thats the second easiest way to install... go to www.rpmfind.net or www.rpm.pbone.net once you download the rpm you want go to that directory in terminal and just

rpm -Uhv filename.rpm

hope that helps

That`s ok, but that doesn`t take care of my dependensies problems. Then I have to download them. Therefor I hoped there where possibilities for sites who automatically downloading them with yum or apt-get

Code:
[main]
cachedir=/var/cache/yum
debuglevel=2
logfile=/var/log/yum.log
pkgpolicy=newest
distroverpkg=redhat-release
tolerant=1
exactarch=1

[base]
name=Red Hat Linux $releasever - $basearch - Base
baseurl=http://mirror.dulug.duke.edu/pub/yum-repository/redhat/$releasever/$basearch/

[updates]
name=Red Hat Linux $releasever - Updates
baseurl=http://mirror.dulug.duke.edu/pub/yum-repository/redhat/updates/$releasever/

[rhl-9-updates]
name=Red Hate Linux 9 updates/errata @ dulug
baseurl=http://mirror.dulug.duke.edu/pub/yum-repository/redhat/updates/9/

[rhl-9-stock]
name=Red Hat Linux 9 stock @ dulug
baseurl=http://mirror.dulug.duke.edu/pub/yum-repository/redhat/9/i386/
that is my /etc/yum.conf

now i only use redhat so for FC you might have to do a little more digging around, but that info should be on the FC main page no?

I got that and it works fine. But not on packages like nessus. They doesn`t excist.

Btw:
Code:
#[tupdates]
#name=Fedora Linux $releasever - $basearch - testing updates
#baseurl=http://ayo.freshrpms.net/fedora/linux/$releasever/$basearch/tupdates
What`s tupdates? And why are they outlined?
