apt-get repositories, howto

Right now my apt-get only gets its information from ayo.freshrpms.net, thus there are lots of packages there i am unable to get via apt-get, can anyone provide me with more avaiable servers to grab pkgs from? Also, all i need to do is to edit the source.list file, right?

Try the command:
apt-get mirror-select

I haven't tried this on other distros yet as I just recently found it on Fedora. If this does work for other operating systems, I would be interested to know.
