Application for creating video from still photos and adding sound.
 

Hi Everyone,

I have been making the soundtrack with audacity and using various other programs to create a "slide show video" then adding the soundtrack.

I would like to know which programs you would recommend for doing this easily and quickly.

At the moment I would really like something I could add photos to set timing and transition effects and add a sound track to each invidual image.

This not such a simple task. I looked at a lot of software. To my lack of understanding, at least at first, your images are converted to a vidio file, and then you use a CD or DVD authoring tool to create the final product.

I have also used a program called DeVeDe. You can have a look at it also.

There are other solutions, so see what others can offer as solutions. I'm always looking for easier, faster too.

Thanks for your reponse camorri. I actually just want to create a video file. I dont need to create a dvd menu or any of that. I will probably end up just putting the video on youtube.

I will try to give some more details of the apps I am using, later if this may help (I am at work at the moment) :)
