Applet doesn't run and more.....

The applet appearing on :

doesn't run in Mozilla under Red Hat 9.0. This applet lets us connect to a server used to send SMS to mobile devices. Seems like nothing happens when I press the "Connect" button.

Is this a limitation with Mozilla/Java for linux or I have to update something?
