I don't understand your questions.

Are you trying to install a Windows application on Linux? Are you using Wine or an emulator? If this is a commercial application, what is it?

Is the support team installing Linux for you? By "filesystem size" I would guess they mean the size of available disk space. Maybe they are asking you if you want to use your whole disk for Linux. Or does this relate back to the application you are installing?

There are people who will be glad to help you solve Linux problems, but you can make it easy for us if you make us understand the problem.

Hi ken sorry If I am not clear.

I have developed a j2ee application on windows.
Now I have to deploy on linux.Yes this is inhouse application.
I have following specification for linux machine
1 x DL380
2 dual cpu’s (4 cpu’s)
4 GB ram
2 x 73 GB internal disk
2 x 1 gig network cards

Now I have a question asked by support team

"Thank you for sending the document so promptly, but there are no filesystems with sizes, are you sure you don’t need specific filesystems? We need the filesystem sizes to build this system. Can you get somebody to give you the sizes?"

Now I am looking for answer for this question

it would be of great help as its critical

Oh, java. That makes more sense--write once, run everywhere.

Well, they probably want to know how big the data could get. What's the total size of all the files in those two Windows directories?

The support team didn't ask a very clear question.

in H:\Data drive size is 4 KB
AND application is under websphere folder whose size is 200MB

even i dont need h drive as I can keep the 4kb folder in linux folder so I dont think partition is also required.

specfication is also i have already mentioned.

I am doing all this in blind way.Only know spelling of linux
thats all
