App to connect from windows to Linux? (using ssh?)

Is it possible to ssh from a windows machine to a Linux machine?

Well I think that's clear enough :)

Yes, set up an ssh server on the linux machine (sshd seems pretty standard)

And then use a windows ssh client like PuTTY to connect to the linux machine.

Job done

that and there are serveral sftp GUIs out there that will run on your windows system to FTP files over without having to run an FTP server on your linux box.

i use both as i am still very new to the CLI end of linux. so i use putty and winSCP3. that is a gui sftp program that looks/feels/works a lot like cuteFTP. very powerful combination IMHO.
